What is “My Post Office” and how does it work?

It is a virtual registration area for customers of the Correios, where the user can fill out fields with personal data, address, and also count on shortcuts to find the nearest agency, perform tracking of objects, simulate prices of national and international shipments, among other useful features for shipments in general.

Only through the registration in My Post Office, is that the importer has access to the Correios My Imports environment.

Accessing My Imports

In My Imports you will get an overview of how often you import, and the details of each tax will also be there. This information is contained in a document called DIS (Statement of Taxes and Services).

This document is generated whenever a package is taxed by the IRS and through it, the importer can understand in detail the criteria that led his package to be taxed and why it was charged a certain amount.

Therefore, when this document does not appear next to a tracking code in My Imports, it means that this shipment passed freely through customs inspection and had an ideal flow, with no duty.

As we said above, to access the “My Imports” environment, we need to have a My Post Office registration.

So let’s go! Already on the home page of the site www.correios.com.br, we can access My Post Office in the upper right corner, where I can register and perform access as an individual or legal entity.

We will choose the option “Individual” just to be able to go to the next page, and further on, the site will give us several options to fill out our registration.

On the next page, the site gives us the options to login and register, and also to reset the password if needed, but let’s click on register!

On this screen, we have all the registration modalities that the Correios site makes available, and we can see that there are many options for you to choose the one that best represents your current situation. Let’s choose the Individual option and click on proceed.

On the next page we will fill in all the fields with our personal information and we will need to create a password. Create a password with letters and numbers. Next, we must accept the terms and conditions of the site, and we can click on the button, Create your registration. See the image:

When you click on Create your registration, the Post Office system will send a six-digit numeric code to confirm the registered cell phone. Just enter the code in the box that appears, click Submit, and your registration is complete!

There you go!
